Launch of Social Media Insight Firm Mass Relevance
In the US, Sam Decker, the former CMO of word-of-mouth agency Bazaarvoice, has co-founded a firm that helps consumer brands use real-time conversations, commentary and insights culled from millions of social media activities taking place around the globe.
Mass Relevance combines a social media technology which aggregates, sorts and delivers the most relevant content for any context with an enterprise SaaS infrastructure. The solution delivers engagement metrics such as audience viewership, time on site stats, page views, ad views, conversions and sales.
Decker (pictured) is joined by co-founders Brian Dainton and Eric Falcao, who also founded Twitter management and moderation platform TweetRiver. Their firm has already secured $2m in Series A funding from FLOODGATE and Austin Ventures.
'A platform to find, curate and display relevant social content is a tremendous competitive advantage for brands, media and retailers who want to attract an audience,' states Decker. 'Mass Relevance is uniquely positioned to help brands drive real-time engagement through social curation that delivers the most relevant social content.'
FLOODGATE's Mike Maples will take a seat on the Board of Directors at Mass Relevance, while four media content specialists join the firm's Advisory Board: web marketing expert Ze Frank; former Advertising Age Editor Jonah Bloom; ad:tech Chief Content Officer Brad Berens; and media start-up investor Mike Edelhart.
