Skinner back as Chair of Arbitron Advisory Council
In the US, Tom Skinner, VP and General Manager of radio station KZST-FM, has been re-elected as Chairperson of the 2011 Arbitron Radio Advisory Council. He previously held the post of Vice Chair in 2010 and served as Chairman in 2003.
The Arbitron Radio Advisory Council was founded more than 30 years ago to provide client feedback and advice to the radio ratings giant. The Council's mission is to provide a forum for industry leaders to collaborate with Arbitron's senior management about the priorities, key business drivers and issues that are important to radio and advertising customers, and provide feedback about how Arbitron's services and policies can be better aligned with customer needs.
Skinner is currently VP and General Manager of Redwood Empire Stereocasters' station KZST-FM. He will be joined by Don Benson, President and CEO of Lincoln Financial Media Company, who now becomes the Vice Chair of the Council for the coming year.
Doug Abernethy, Regional Vice President Radio One and the 2010 Council Chair, will stay on as the Past Chairperson.
