ARF Hires NBC Veteran Stipp for Strategy Post
In the US, the Advertising Research Foundation (ARF) has appointed former NBC Universal veteran Horst Stipp for the newly created position of EVP, Global Business Strategy.
The New York-based ARF was founded in 1936 by the Association of National Advertisers and the American Association of Advertising Agencies.
Stipp joins with more than 40 years' media research experience, gained while working at NBC Universal. Most recently, he served as Senior VP, Strategic Insights & Innovation, overseeing strategic marketing and consumer research for the TV networks as well as new digital platforms.
His research publications, in both English and German, cover a wide range of topics and he frequently presents at conferences, both in the US and in Europe. Recently, his work has focused on changes in media use and the impact of advertising in the digital age. Stipp has also taught media metrics seminars at Columbia University's Business School for more than ten years.
