PAC Expands in Germany with Berlecon Buy

European-based software and IT services analyst Pierre Audoin Consultants (PAC) has expanded in the German market through the acquisition of Berlin-based analyst and consulting firm Berlecon Research. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Berlecon produces market analysis reports to assess the opportunities and challenges facing new technologies and suppliers in the German market. The reports are designed to help IT executives evaluate the impact of new trends and ideas on their companies.

The firm also offers customised research, and consulting services to help clients develop recommendations for the use of new technologies and for their market positioning.

PAC and Berlecon Research have worked closely together since 2009, and analysts and consultants from both organizations have now joined forces to deliver market analyses and consulting projects, in addition to studies commissioned by public authorities.

Headed by former MD Nicole Dufft (pictured), Berlecon will operate as a PAC business unit based in Berlin. Dufft will report to Frédéric Munch, MD of PAC Germany.
