Gartner's Q4 Revenue Climbs 17%
Technology research firm Gartner has reported a 17% increase in fourth quarter revenue to $382.3m, and full year 2010 revenue up 13% to $1,288.5m.
In the Research division, Gartner saw Q4 revenues rise 19% to $230.6m, while full year revenue climbed 14% to $865.0m, excluding the impact of foreign exchange.
In addition, the firm's research arm recorded the highest contract value in the company's history - a 25% increase to $977.7m - as client and wallet retention rates rose from 78% and 87% to 83% and 98% respectively.
Revenue for the Consultancy division rose 11% year-on-year to $89.3m for Q4, and 6% to $302.1m for the full year 2010; and for the Events division jumped 21% to $62.4m in Q4, and also 21% for the full year, to $121.3m.
'We achieved record levels of new business and contract value, our client and wallet retention metrics improved for the fifth consecutive quarter, and many of our other key business metrics continued to accelerate during the fourth quarter,' stated CEO Gene Hall. 'We delivered double-digit revenue, normalized EBITDA and EPS growth for the full year 2010, and expect to deliver double-digit growth across those measures in 2011 as well.'
Gartner is anticipating revenue in the range of $1.43 - 1.48bn for 2011.
