Tenders Sought for South African OOH Survey
The South African Advertising Research Foundation (SAARF) has called for tenders for the country's outdoor measurement currency, the Out of Home Media Survey (OHMS), for a five-year period beginning 1st January 2012.
SAARF says the form and extent of the survey have been the subject of much debate of late, but with a 'growing consensus' that an 'ongoing, credible and objective' service is needed to match those used for print, radio and television.
SAARF's other media measurement surveys are conducted by Nielsen, which won the All Media and Products Survey (AMPS) and the Radio Audience Measurement Survey (RAMS) in July 2008, and the TV contract (TAM) in 2005.
OHMS tender documents can be obtained from SAARF CEO Dr Paul Haupt no later than noon on 22 February, email paul@saarf.co.za or telephone (+27) (11) 463-5340. Completed proposals must be submitted by Friday 25 March, with the aim of awarding the contract by the end of May.
