Hospitality Researcher Snapped Up by Travelclick
In the US, travel and hospitality sector insight specialist Rubicon has been acquired by Travelclick, a firm which provides business intelligence products, and media and marketing solutions to hoteliers worldwide. Terms were not disclosed.
Rubicon offers a range of competitive market intelligence, market analysis and revenue management products for the travel industry. Its MarketVision solution helps clients to position their offers in terms of price, demand and channel.
Rubicon CEO Tim Hart (pictured) will become Executive Vice President and Head of Travelclick's Business Intelligence division, reporting to Travelclick CEO Larry Kutscher, and will oversee the roll-out of new products and services over the coming months.
Kutscher says the acquisition will provide clients with 'better data, better technology, and best-in-class service', and adds: 'By leveraging Travelclick's technology, we will be able to better serve individual hotels with a more flexible platform and provide greater local resources to our hotel chain customers.'
