Deltek Buy Unites Contract Intelligence Firms
Enterprise software and information solutions provider Deltek has acquired Washington Management Group (WMG) for $26m in cash, bringing the latter's FSI and FSI Consulting businesses together with public sector intelligence firm INPUT, acquired last September.
Deltek works for professional services firms, government contractors, and government agencies and provides intelligence on contract opportunities, customer relationship management (CRM), business development, plus financial, HR and project management.
Established more than 25 years ago, WMG and its subsidiaries FedSources (FSI) and FedSources Consulting (FSI Consulting) had revenues of around $15m for the fiscal year ended March 31, 2011. The firms provide market intelligence and consulting to help clients find and win government business.
Deltek says the buy will create 'the industry's broadest and deepest repository of government opportunity intelligence information', combining its new services with the content, community and opportunity databases of its INPUT and GovWin companies. It will also strengthen Deltek's custom consulting offer which helps clients develop business and keep government contracts once won.
