MEW Research Joins BDRC Group
Leading leisure and tourism research consultancy MEW Research has joined BDRC, complementing their established research strengths in hotel, financial and other service industry research markets. The 'new' MEW Research will remain focussed on its existing activities, while benefiting from the additional resources available through BDRC.
MEW Research will continue to use its existing name, which becomes the trading name of BDRC Tourism and Leisure Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of Business Development Research Consultants Ltd. The operation is planning to move to the BDRC head office, in central London, in late February. In the new set up MEW will have access to BDRC's range of specialised service research tools for brand equity measurement, CRM and corporate identity and the company's wealth of experience in developing syndicated research programmes.
According to Marion Wertheim, founder of MEW Research, 'A strategic alliance with a bigger, but like-minded agency run by fellow market research professionals, has long been my aim, so I very much welcomed the approach from BDRC earlier this year. After 31 years running MEW Research, I wish to take a step back from directing research into other people's leisure pursuits and start pursuing some of my own. As a director of the 'new' MEW Research I will continue to be involved with strategic business development, project consultancy and advice.'
