ITV Hires Channel 4 Marketer for Research Director Role
In the UK, broadcaster ITV has hired Channel 4 marketer Rufus Radcliffe for the newly created role of Group Marketing and Research Director, with overall responsibility for marketing strategy, brand development, research and customer insight.
Radcliffe, who will join ITV later this year, is currently Marketing Controller at Channel 4, where he has spent the past decade in a variety of marketing roles. These have included serving as Head of Network Marketing where he focused on campaigns for shows such as Skins, The Big Food Fight, and Derren Brown; and leading the launch marketing campaign for More4.
He began his career at McCann Erickson Advertising, before moving to J.Walter Thompson.
In his new role, Radcliffe will report to ITV's Director of Television, Peter Fincham, who comments: 'Continuing to build and develop the success of ITV's brands is a core part of our ongoing transformation plan. Rufus will have a pivotal role to play and is an exciting addition to our team.'
