Analytics Firm Mu Sigma Raises $25m
US-based decision science and analytic services provider Mu Sigma has received $25m in Series C financing, from VC firm Sequoia Capital.
Mu Sigma employs more than 1200 analysts at its headquarters in Chicago and main delivery center in Bangalore, India. It aims to help companies institutionalize data-driven decision-making, through the integration of business, maths and technology.
Sequoia Capital MD Shailendra Singh describes Mu Sigma as 'the most impressive analytics services company' his firm has met in years.
Mu Sigma founder and CEO Dhiraj Rajaram (pictured) comments: 'Companies today have vast amounts of data that they have collected over the last few decades, and to understand all this data, decision sciences is going to play a much bigger role in the coming years.
