Coca-Cola North America Names New Marketing Head
Alison Lewis has become Senior Vice President of Coca-Cola North America, to oversee integrated marcoms, multicultural marketing, consumer and shopper insights, and marketing productivity.
She joins from Coca-Cola subsidiary Odwalla, where she has worked since 2009 as SVP General Manager, in charge of around 800 staff.
Lewis joined the firm 15 years ago, since when, she has held a number of roles, including SVP Commercial and Franchise Operations, Head of Integrated Marketing, VP Marketing of Canada, and Senior Brand Manager for Diet Coke.
Prior to joining the company, she spent six years in brand management roles at Kraft Foods in Canada.
In her new role, Lewis reports both to Alexander Douglas, President of Coca-Cola North America, and Joe Tripodi, EVP and Chief Marketing and Commercial Officer, and her remit includes driving brand growth, local relevance and customer appeal.
She replaces Beatriz ('Bea') Perez, who has taken up the post of Chief Sustainability Officer, to integrate Coca-Cola's sustainability initiatives in the areas of water, climate protection, packaging and recycling, and community through a new global Office of Sustainability.
