Opinium Launches Mobile Survey Platform
Opinium Research has partnered with technology firm Roundpoint, to launch a new mobile research platform, giving access to a panel of respondents.
Opinium offers consultancy, syndicated, and field and data services, including a daily low-cost online omnibus survey of 2000 UK adults per wave. The new service, Opinium Mobile, opens the prospect of real-time feedback, in-location, allowing response both by SMS or WAP/Mobile web streams. Results can be delivered within 4 hours if required.
The partners say mobile phone response rates are higher than those for other research methods, with the majority replying within 5 minutes of survey launch; and that hard-to-reach 16-25 year olds can be accessed this way.
Roundpoint CEO Trevor Shonfeld says his company developed the technology on finding there was no single solution available for a planned survey of their audience and app users: 'because there's wasn't one we developed one'.
