Analytics Start-Up Secures Angel Funding

Online behavioral predictive analytics specialist Visual Revenue has secured Series A Seed Funding of $512k, which will be used to fuel product development.

Visual Revenue was founded in January by former IndexTools (now Yahoo! Web Analytics) COO Dennis Mortensen. Based in New York, the company has developed a platform which provides real-time recommendations on where to place content on a publisher's web pages.

This first round of funding has been led by Lerer Ventures, SV Angel, Kima Ventures and NYC Seed, joined by ten individual Angel investors.

'Online editors have access to a lot of data, but this typically paints an unclear or misleading picture,' Mortensen states. 'We are leading the way by providing online editors with advanced, yet simple, decision support tools they need to take informed, real-time content placement decisions.'
