Media Group Buys Panel Recruiter Adperio
In the US, online marketing agency Adperio - which recruits online panelists for a number of international market research agencies - has been acquired by digital ad specialist Matomy Media Group. While terms were not disclosed, the deal could be worth up to $30m.
Denver, CO-based Adperio offers custom research and demographic targeting capabilities as part of its performance-based marketing offer. The firm recruits panelists from more than 2,000 Internet publishers and social networks, providing clients with access to hundreds of thousands of individuals around the world. It also uses its online loyalty program Memolink.com to build custom panels from its proprietary databases.
The company says the acquisition will be in stages, with the final value - estimated at $30m - determined according to performance during the next four years.
Adperio, which has annual revenue of $50m, will continue to be managed by founder and CEO David Asseoff (pictured), who states: 'We're eager to take advantage of Matomy's international reach and leverage the firm's performance-based expertise. We're confident that our two companies' strengths and geographical focuses are 100% complementary, and we expect to be the global leader in providing our clients with a variety of measurable and impactful performance-based ad solutions.'
In the coming months, Adperio will launch a new Online-to-Offline (O2O) platform, connecting social media with offline purchases.
