New Southeast Asia Hub for AMI Healthcare

Asia Market Intelligence (AMI) has appointed Malaysia-based Stephen Potts as Director of Healthcare - Southeast Asia. He will be responsible for healthcare market research in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and Indonesia.

Growing demand from these key markets has led AMI Healthcare, one of the specialist research divisions of the company, to open a regional hub in Singapore. Potts will report to Head of Healthcare Scott Davies, who is based in the company's Hong Kong headquarters. 'The geographical advantage of opening an office in Singapore is fulfilling our promise of quicker, more pro-active service for healthcare clients based in this part of Asia,' says Davies.

Potts' brief includes responsibility for client servicing, project management and team management for the Southeast Asia region. He has over seven years' experience in healthcare market research, starting his career at NOP Healthcare in London where he conducted large-scale qualitative and quantitative research projects across the US and Europe. Three years after joining NOP Healthcare, he moved to Taylor Nelson Sofres Healthcare in the UK where his focus was primarily qualitative research for large pharmaceutical multinationals. He joined the Malaysia office of Asia Market Intelligence in October 2000.

Asia Market Intelligence is one of Asia's largest research firms with 13 wholly owned offices across the region and is a member of Aegis Market Research, the global research arm of media communications specialists Aegis Group plc.
