ISG Expands in India to Meet Anticipated Growth
Information Services Group (ISG), the acquisition vehicle set up by former VNU boss Michael Connors, has moved into larger offices in Bangalore, India in anticipation of rapid growth over the next two years.
Connors founded ISG in 2007 with almost $260m in funds. His company's first acquisition was outsourcing advisory firm TPI, which supplies data, research and consultancy to help clients evaluate their outsourcing strategies.
More recently, ISG acquired UK-based Compass, which provides business and IT benchmarking, performance improvement and analytics services; and public sector specialist STA Consulting.
The two companies contributed $11.0m in revenues for the first quarter of the year, although ISG overall reported an operating loss of $5.2m.
Connors says India continues to be an 'extremely important market' for ISG and its clients, with increasing client demand for its technology insights, analytics and advisory services.
In India, ISG has more than 100 employees who provide support to TPI, Compass and STA Consulting. The operation is headed by Partner & MD Sid Pai (pictured), who is also responsible for ISG corporate strategy and resource management globally.
Pai comments: 'Our India team has significant levels of skill, expertise and qualifications. Add to that their exceptional levels of energy and enthusiasm and the result is truly a high-performance workforce.'
