Hofmeyr Returns to TNS in New Role
Jan Hofmeyr, formerly Synovate's International Director of Innovation, has joined TNS in a 'global thought leadership role', responsible for building the firm's approach to behaviour change and embedding this across the group.
Hofmeyr joined Synovate in 2006 to develop the firm's brand equity and customer loyalty offers, and became a member of the executive board in 2010. Prior to that he ran the Customer Equity Company (which was sold to TNS in 2000), and co-created the Conversion Model, which measures the commitment of people to their current choices and their closeness to conversion regardless of the market.
Earlier in his career, Hofmeyr was a senior political advisor for the African National Congress during and after the first democratic elections in South Africa.
In his new role, he will continue to be based in Cape Town and will report to TNS CEO Eric Salama, who comments: 'We recognise the importance of applying behaviour change thinking across our brand, stakeholder and social and political offers and there is no one better than Jannie to accelerate this. He has rejoined TNS in this new role to make Conversion Model thinking a much more significant part of our offer.'
Hofmeyr said that after some great years at Synovate, TNS had offered him an 'unrivalled opportunity'.
