Expansion for Australia's AMR
In Australia, STW Group's research consultancy AMR has opened a new office in Brisbane, and expanded its teams in Sydney and Melbourne with a number of new appointments.
AMR specialises in online research and provides expert analysis of a wide range of Australian markets. Last year, STW separated AMR's data collection services from its market research offering through the launch of a new standalone agency called Touchpoint Research Australia.
The Brisbane office will be led by General Manager Chris Pyra (pictured), who was previously an Insights Manager at Pacific Brands. Prior to this, he held senior insights and research positions at Telstra, Roy Morgan and Forethought Research.
In his new role, Pyra will focus on managing client relationships and driving business development across the full range of AMR's research services in the state.
MD Gary Wilkinson says the decision to open the Brisbane operation was part of a long-term strategy to capitalise on local opportunities: 'Queensland is an important, exciting and growing market. Chris is a top-class researcher and his expertise in brand, advertising and customer satisfaction will be highly valuable within the AMR offering, to both existing and future clients.'
In Melbourne, Sam Wight has joined as Senior Account Manager from the Ehrenberg-Bass Institute. His experience includes large quant projects including brand and ad tracking, customer satisfaction, brand usage and attitudinal studies.
The firm has also appointed three new members of staff in its Sydney office: Georgina Sanderson as Senior Account Manager, Chia Pei as Account Manager, and Farrah Belamri as Assistant Account Manager. Sanderson has more than three years' experience gained at TNS and Nielsen in Hong Kong and Pei previously worked at Colmar Brunton.
