European Premiere for Cymfony
WPP is launching its social and traditional media listening arm Kantar Media Cymfony in Europe, with the opening of a new office in London servicing clients this side of The Pond.
Cymfony, founded in 1996, uses a combination of text mining technology and expert human interpretation to monitor and analyse consumer-generated and traditional media.
The new operation will be led by Simon Rogers (pictured) as Director of Business Development. Rogers joins with a 20-year background selling contracts covering outsourced services, application software and associated integration services.
Most recently, he owned his own consultancy, Market Sentinel, which monitored and analysed social media, and before this he was Sales Director at project intelligence specialist Pelicam, and Group Sales & Marketing Director at the Financial Software Group. Earlier in his career, he held senior roles at Systems Union, Third Wave (now Xansa), Cap Gemini and Hoskyns.
