WorldOne Hires Wackert as MD for Germany

Global pharma data collection specialist WorldOne has appointed former Medefield MD Gerald Wackert as MD for its recently opened German operation.

Founded in 2000, WorldOne offers access to a panel of 500,000 physicians and 200,000 other healthcare professionals across more than 80 countries. Last month, the firm secured a $25m investment, which it will be using to accelerate global expansion and fund development of new business lines.

Wackert joins with more than 27 years' experience of the pharma industry. Before working as MD of Medefield in Hamburg, he was Director of Global Accounts at Kantar Health (formerly TNS Healthcare), and held senior roles at Maritz Research, Cegedim and IMS Health. He also worked client side for Orion Pharma and GlaxoSmithKline, where he was Market Research Manager, Germany.
