Ingledew Joins YouGov as West Coast MD

YouGov has appointed technology research specialist Steve Ingledew as Managing Director, San Francisco, in its US custom division YouGov Definitive Insights.

Portland, Oregon-based Definitive Insights, acquired by YouGov earlier this year, focuses on the IT, pharma, financial services and energy markets; and offers market assessment, product and price optimization, customer satisfaction and advanced analytics services.

Ingledew joins from Millward Brown, where for the past three years he has served as MD of the Technology and Telecom Practice. Prior to this he spent seven years at TNS North America as EVP Technology Sector, and before this he held senior roles in Research International's US and UK operations for more than nine years. During this time, he established RI's IT practice and opened the firm's San Francisco office.

In his new role, Ingledew will mainly work from YouGov's Palo Alto office, reporting to US President Doss Struss, who comments: 'Steve is an authoritative and well known figure in the IT industry - a major focus for YouGov Definitive Insights. His team building skills and ability to develop bright young minds into outstanding practitioners will be an immense asset to our expanding US operations.'
