Casino Researchers to Syndicate
LA-based casino research specialist Meczka Marketing/Research/Consulting, Inc. (MM/R/C) has launched Players Pulse, a new bi-annual syndicated research program delivering statistical analysis of casino player behavior and gaming markets.
Developed by MM/R/C president Michael Meczka and consultant Michael McNabb Players Pulse is billed as a lower cost option than existing services. The research covers player preferences, share of market and wallet, and competitive penetration for specific gaming markets, and offers participating casinos customised proprietary data.
Players Pulse will offer twice-yearly analysis of a casino's share of gaming visits, along with games played and average spend per trip, and will compare players' opinions of it with views of competitor establishments. It will also review promotions and offers, and their impact on player behavior; and report on share of wallet and market penetration.
Meczka says the anticipated cost savings for syndicating the study vs one-off ad hoc projects are 25-50%. McNabb, who is owner and President of MJM Consulting of San Diego, CA and has more than 30 years' experience in the gaming industry, says casinos will get 'the best of both worlds', and adds: 'To our knowledge, this is the first time that syndicated research of this type has been offered to the casino industry on a market-by-market basis.'
