Research Now Adds D&B Business Codes
Online sampling and data collection specialist Research Now has launched a new screening tool incorporating Dun & Bradstreet's D-U-N-S numbers, to provide additional information about B2B respondents.
A D&B D-U-N-S (data universal number system) is a nine-digit numeric identifier assigned to each business in the D&B database. The system is used for identifying and keeping track of more than 202 million businesses worldwide.
Through its new tool, Research Now is offering access to D&B D-U-N-S numbers and SIC codes for B2B respondents drawn from its global panels. Clients can then use the number to link back to their own data, enabling further analysis and segmentation.
Users of the new tool can choose between mandatory and optional DUNS numbers or SIC codes: the former method disqualifies respondents if they choose not to provide information, whereas the latter allows respondents to proceed to a survey if they skip this step.
Research Now's EVP of Client Development Craig Stevens states: 'By partnering with D&B, we are able to increase the value and depth of insights our clients obtain from their B2B studies.'
