TNS Hires Duffy for UK CEO Role
TNS has announced that Maureen Duffy, until this month CEO of the Newspaper Marketing Agency, will take over from Andrew Czarnowski as UK CEO from January next year.
Duffy will be a key member of the Northern European Leadership team, reporting to its CEO Judith Passingham. She moved to her previous role in 2003, after spells as Commissioner for ITV daytime programming and setting up a marketing department at BBC Television.
She started her career in the early 1980s as a graduate trainee at J Walter Thompson, rising there to Director of Strategic Communication.
Czarnowski will leave TNS at the end of 2011 after almost four years as CEO of the UK business. During his tenure, TNS was acquired by WPP and the business successfully merged with that of RI. Before this, he led Worldpanel UK, presiding over a number of years of substantial growth.
Passingham says Duffy brings 'a great leadership track record' and 'a great level of energy and enthusiasm, together with a real passion for diagnosing and solving client business problems'.
