Healthcare Start-Up Plans Investment
In the US, start-up healthcare information firm Real Endpoints (RE) has announced plans to acquire a majority stake in New Jersey-based market research agency Reimbursement Intelligence. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Launched in 2005, Reimbursement Intelligence provides services to support biopharma and medical device clients' development, launch and marketing strategies. The firm gathers data on how payers, physicians, hospitals and other stakeholders respond to issues surrounding healthcare reimbursement, using a combination of custom and syndicated research, training programs and managed-markets communication.
RE says the acquisition will add payer decision-making insight to its own portfolio, which includes a new research analytics and information service called Value & Innovation, along with several proprietary databases.
Reimbursement Intelligence founder and President Rhonda Greenapple (pictured) comments: 'RE's contributions, and the active participation of Chairman Norman Selby and CEO Roger Longman, will allow us to make significant investments in the breadth, depth and usability of our market research. Our entire team looks forward to maximizing the enormous potential of this important new partnership.'
