$1.5m Feeds Growth of Restaurant Specialist
US-based Objective Logistics - whose software analyses all the data produced during a restaurant's daily trading - has raised $1.5m for further development and commercialisation of its MUSE product.
Founded in 2009 and based in Cambridge, Massachusetts, the company promises restaurant owners insight into their staff's performance, enabling them to make changes to enhance customer satisfaction, while also increasing traffic and engagement.
Through game dynamics and built-in incentives, MUSE also ranks and rewards waiters and waitresses with their choice of shifts and other prizes automatically based on their performance.
The new wave of funding has been led by Atlas Venture and Google Ventures, with participation from NextView Ventures, Canary Ventures and individual investors.
CEO and co-founder Philip Beauregard comments: 'While restaurant owners and employees alike want to gain insight into their operations and performance, the tools available have been cumbersome and mundane. MUSE gamifies the workplace by giving owners the ability to rapidly measure staff performance and incentivizes their employees to improve the customer experience.'
