TrustYou Launches Hotel Guest Review Tool
Munich, Germany-based TrustYou - which provides social media monitoring and semantic technologies for the hospitality industry - has launched a guest survey tool which allows hotels to capture and analyze trustworthy reviews, respond and integrate them into their own web sites.
Founded in 2008, TrustYou gathers and analyzes sentiment from online reviews, posts, and comments, on behalf of hoteliers, destinations, restaurants and travel companies. In September, the firm secured $5m in Series A funding, while also acquiring Dallas-based competitor ReviewAnalyst.
The new ReviewAnalyst Survey enables hotels to push guest reviews to third parties, such as review web sites and search engines. Sentiment analysis in twelve languages identifies the most relevant positive or negative trending topics and comments, and pushes all content equally, whether positive or negative - 'though it may remove offensive comments.
CEO and co-founder Benjamin Jost comments: 'By connecting guest reviews at the hotel with the social web, we solve the fundamental problems of trust, volume and topicality of user reviews. The best part is we do it for free.'
