Red C merges with OI Research
In Ireland, Red C Research & Marketing and OI Research have merged to create what the pair describe as one of Ireland's biggest independent research groups. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Dublin-based Red C was founded in 2003 by former Lansdowne Market Research executives Richard Colwell and Sinead Mooney. The firm offers quant and qual projects to a wide range of clients, while also running monthly polls for the Sunday Business Post.
Full service agency OI (formerly Outsourced Insight), which was founded by David Cullen, also ex-Lansdowne, has offices in Dublin and Buncrana in Co Donegal, and also offers a full range of quant and qual services.
As part of the deal, both brands will continue to operate as part of a newly enlarged RED C Group, to offer clients a broader range of services, expertise and support.
Colwell comments: 'OI Research has been at the forefront of bringing new techniques and ideas to Ireland, and this agreement will further cement our position as the leading innovator in insight delivery.'
Cullen adds: 'OI Research and RED C have always shared a common vision to deliver excellence and fresh thinking in research and this will continue to be our shared goal. We are confident that our clients will see the benefits of this merger as we continue to develop and grow in the years to come.'
