WPP Buys Majority Stake in Qais Consulting
Marcoms giant WPP has acquired a majority stake in Singapore-based digital marketing agency Qais Consulting. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Founded in 2005, Qais has 31 staff based in its Singapore HQ and operations in Mumbai, India, and is led by CEO Tripti Lochan (pictured). Revenues for the year ended 31 December 2010 were S$4m.
Qais' full-service portfolio includes digital and marketing strategy, technology development, social media and online advertising. It also includes a range of research services such as stakeholder satisfaction studies and new product/service need assessments, along with web site analytics and user testing.
As part of the deal, Qais will join its business operations with WPP's digital marketing agency VML, and will rebrand as VML Qais.
