Cable Firm Hires Former Warner Bros. Researcher
Former Warner Bros researcher Karen Barcheski has joined Latino-targeted English-language cable television network nuvoTV in the newly created position of Vice President of Research.
NuvoTV (formerly Si TV) caters to the bi-cultural Latino population of the US, offering a range of programmes including lifestyle, reality and comedy. The network produces 70% original content and also airs syndicated shows.
Barcheski spent sixteen years with Warner Bros. Television in Los Angeles, the last nine of them as VP, Media Research, and the previous seven as Director of Research.
In her new role, reporting to CEO Michael Schwimmer, Barcheski will be analyzing the network's own data on the bi-cultural Latino population, combined with figures from Nielsen.
Schwimmer comments: 'Karen is a savvy media research pro who will help us gain a deeper understanding of our target audience. This will enable us to create even more relevant content for our viewers and provide valuable, actionable insights to our business partners in the distribution and ad communities.'
