MR Translation Specialist Opens in Ireland

US-based CETRA Language Solutions - which specialises in providing translation and interpretation services to the market research sector - has opened a new European Service Centre in Limerick, Ireland with plans to hire a staff of 20 linguists.

Founded in 1997, Pennsylvania-based CETRA (formerly known as Central European Translations Inc) offers translation, interpretation, sign language interpretation, multilingual typesetting, and transcriptions for corporate and government clients in nearly 100 languages. Clients are in the legal and life science industries as well as MR.

President and CEO Dr Jiri Stejskal said the firm was attracted to Limerick primarily because of the graduate output of its University and the ability to collaborate with its Localisation Research Centre to develop a 'technology localisation offering.' The firm will initially be located in the Limerick Institute of Technology Acceleration Centre.
