Spectrum Buys Gaming Specialist EE Johnson

In the US, Spectrum Gaming Group has acquired New Jersey-based MR agency EE Johnson Research. While financial terms were not disclosed, it was confirmed that founder Eugene Johnson will stay on as head of division.

Spectrum provides a wide range of services such as lottery consulting, feasibility and market studies and online gambling research and analysis. The firm is also a founding member of Global i-Gaming Advisors (GIGA), a partnership with Internet gambling research advisory firms H2 Gambling Capital and Gaming Edge Associates.

Johnson has worked in the gaming industry for nearly three decades - including more than seven years with Atlantic City casinos - and is a specialist in online gaming. Since setting up his firm in 1997, he has offered traditional and online qual and quant research services to the casino gaming, tour and travel, and financial services sectors.

In his new role, leading Spectrum's Internet gaming and market research services, he takes on the additional title of Senior Vice President, Market Research and Online Studies.
