NPD Drops Ireland Option for Expanded HQ Site
In the US, consumer research company the NPD Group has decided to stay in its current headquarters in Port Washington, NY and expand the premises rather than move to a bigger alternative location. The company will also site its expanded data center at its headquarters and create ten new jobs.
One of the considerations in the decision to stay is the tax-sales break the company is receiving on construction materials, machinery and furniture for its upgraded office, estimated at $490,000. The total cost of the upgrade will be $8m.
The company had been looking at locating the new data centre in Ireland.
