Buyology Hires Former EmSense Exec Mallardi
In the US, neuro-insight specialist Buyology has hired former EmSense exec Mark Mallardi as Executive Vice President, Sales & Marketing.
New York-based Buyology takes insights from techniques such as biometrics and semiotics, as well as established projective technologies for revealing non-conscious insights and motivations.
Mallardi joins from neuromarketing firm EmSense, which in September reported it was going through a 'sales process' - although no further announcement has since been made. While serving there as SVP, Sales & Marketing for the past three years, Mallardi generated quadruple growth in annual sales while providing all strategic leadership for the firm's sales department, and formed co-marketing partnerships with SymphonyIRI, Fifth Dimension and TNS Sorensen.
Prior to this, he held marketing roles at EducationalInsights Inc, Scope Seven, and Classroom Connect. Earlier, he served as SVP/Western Regional Manager at IRI for eight years, as Manager of Sales Analysis at Pepsi-Cola USA, and as Manager of Promotion Analysis at Philip Morris USA. He began his career with market research and business analysis provider SPAR.
In his new role, Mallardi reports to Buyology's funding Partner and CEO Gary Singer, who comments: 'Mark joins Buyology during a time of rapid growth and demand for our proprietary web-based tools. He is a truly unique force in this industry, with a background in both neuro-insight and traditional market research for some of the biggest brands around the world, and he will help us rapidly escalate our sales and our impact.'
