tracx Raises $4.4m to Expand Social Media Platform
In the US, social media analytics specialist tracx has received $4.4m in Series B funding, which it will use to fuel growth and international expansion. At the same time, the firm has launched a system to enable users to identify and manage their audience profiling and segmentation.
Established in 2008, tracx provides real-time social media analytics architecture for conducting relevancy analysis and data mining. Its new social media management system (SMMS) offers brands and agencies insights into their customers, competitors and influencer behaviors, and highlights business opportunities.
Commenting on the launch of the platform, CEO Eran Gilad said: 'We believe that marketing professionals can utilize tracx to extract the richest and most accurate data needed to build effective, targeted strategies that generate the highest return on investment.'
In conjunction with the launch, tracx also announced the close of a $4.4m round of financing, led by Flybridge Capital Partners and Revel Partners. As a result, Jeff Bussgang from Flybridge and Charlie Kemper from Revel have joined the tracx Board of Directors.
