SSI Names New Chief Operating Officer
Survey Sampling International (SSI) has appointed Christopher Fanning as its new President and Chief Operating Officer, to oversee its operations in the American and Latin American markets. Earlier in his career Fanning worked for management consultancy The Boston Consulting Group.
Last year, SSI and data collection agency Opinionology merged under the SSI brand. SSI's CEO Kees de Jong continues to lead the firm, while Opinionology's CEO David Haynes initially took on the role of SSI President and COO, but resigned from that position following the merger. He retains a seat on the SSI Board of Directors.
Fanning joins with a 25 year background gained in business management, executive leadership, strategic planning and operations roles.
Prior to SSI, he served as interim CEO of Lattice Semiconductor Corporation, having first joined the company in 1997 as Director, Strategic Planning before being promoted up the ranks to various senior roles including VP, Strategic Planning and VP, Software and IP Solutions.
He spent six years as Manager, Project Leader and Consultant in the Boston Group's Chicago office and before this he was Lead Architect, Software Engineer at software and service provider ISI Systems.
