Survey Analytics Adds Gamification Platform
US company Survey Analytics has added a gamification platform called BadgeFarm to its IdeaScale crowdsourcing application, in a bid to increase user engagement in its clients' communities.
IdeaScale uses social media, surveys and messaging to help companies generate ideas from customers and stakeholders. BadgeFarm is based on game theory and will be used for social media reputation modelling and rewarding consumers.
Through the platform, community members accrue experience points based on their activity and are awarded badges and rewards according to their behavior - such as time spent at the community or the contribution of an idea. Dashboards provide metrics on individual components of the system, such as real-time graphs of voting.
IdeaScale co-founder and President Robert Hoehn comments: 'All games have rules, goals, and an invitation to participate. We've simply taken those principles and applied them in ways that will improve engagement and participation. We believe the BadgeFarm model will allow our customers to leverage our research to enhance their communities.'
