Gilbert Joins YouGov Tech and Telecoms Unit
Online researcher YouGov has appointed John Gilbert as Technology and Telecoms Consulting Director.
He brings more than twenty years' experience of quant and qual research, in sectors including finance, transportation, retail and telecoms. Most recently he worked at Market Probe Europe as Director of Research and Consulting for the London office. Prior to that, he was a Senior Consultant at CFI Group for six years, working on customer satisfaction programmes. Earlier in his career he was Director of Research for United Parcel Service and Motorola.
Marek Vaygelt, YouGov's Head of Consumer, Technology and Telecoms Consulting, welcomed Gilbert to the team, and commented: 'His breadth of experience on both the agency and client side of our industry further develops the unique YouGov offering in this market, based upon world-class project management, efficient pin-point sampling and sector-specific analytics.'
IN addition to its high-profile public opinion polling, YouGov has sector specialist teams serving consumer, financial, media, technology and telecoms markets. Its worldwide panel of 2.5 million people includes more than 350,000 in the UK.
In its most recent annual results, for the year ended 31 July 2011, YouGov grew revenue 26.9% to 56.1m and adjusted operating profit 39.5% to £5.3m, with organic growth of 9% as well as US acquisitions.
