Vegas Housing Analyst Acquired
Research and public policy advisor Applied Analysis has acquired Las Vegas-based real estate research specialist SalesTraq, according to reports. Financial terms were not disclosed.
 SalesTraq has provided developers, agents and mortgage lenders with monthly stats on the Las Vegas housing market - including new and existing home sales, median prices and building permits - for nearly two decades.
Applied Analysis Principal Brian Gordon, quoted in the Las Vegas Review Journal, said the deal meant 'bringing on an existing operation that's been successful over the last two decades and has a good track record'. Gordon - the principal author of Applied's Las Vegas Quarterly Market Reports, which cover real estate markets from office and industrial to luxury condos - said he had talked to SalesTraq founder Larry Murphy about the two businesses a number of times in the past five years.
Murphy will leave SalesTraq, while the buy will allow Applied Analysis to expand its existing residential research and analysis.
