The Pert Group Promotes Guion to Leadership Role
US-based research and consulting firm The Pert Group has promoted Doug Guion to the position of President, responsible for the firm's day-to-day operations. He takes on these duties from CEO Dale Lersch, who will continue in her current role with a specific focus on international development.
Established in 1978, the group is headquartered in Bloomfield, CT, with offices in Kansas City, MO, and Pittsburgh, PA; as well as in London.
Prior to joining the company in 2009 as VP of Operations, Guion spent nearly ten years at Greenfield Online as VP, North American Operations, where he oversaw the running of the department and was responsible for labor forecasting and attrition management, setting and maintaining budgets, and creating performance standards. Earlier, he worked for Millward Brown as Office Services Representative.
Lersch says turning over operations responsibilities to Guion will free up her time to leverage her 30-plus years of research experience with clients, while continuing to play a leadership role across several sectors. Additionally, she will continue to serve as a Board member, along with the firm's other two owners Gigi Ryan and Susan Spaulding.
Commenting on the appointment, Lersch says: 'Doug is the right choice to lead our day-to-day operations and build the company through strategic partnerships, expanded capabilities, and new research technologies and techniques. I am confident he will provide the leadership and vision to continue our success.'
