Forthcoming AQR Events
The Association for Qualitative Research (AQR) have two big dates fixed for the next few months in London. Firstly they are holding an informal introduction to the industry for 'wannabe Quallies' everywhere. The second is the society's own AGM for members only.
For those who have recently joined the profession, the AQR can provide useful insights as to the highs and lows of the business with its 'New Researcher's Forum'. Running on the evening of the 18th April, both members and non-members are cordially invited to attend at Browns in Covent Garden London. The guest speaker for the forum has been confirmed as David Spenser of Direct Dialogue. The title of his talk is set as '10 things I wish I'd known when I started in research', or rather 'Insights from a gnarled old Has-Been'. It is primarily aimed at researchers with 0-2 years qual experience in qualitative research.
Later on in the year, members can put their names down for the society's AGM. The meeting will take place on the evening of 26th June, again at Browns in central London. The AQR advise that the agenda, booking forms and voting slips will be distributed to all members approximately six weeks before the AGM.
