NORM Launches Pregnancy Panel
In Sweden, shopper and consumer specialist NORM has launched 'Scandinavia's first quantitative research panel of pregnant women.' At least 4,000 women will join the panel evenly over the next twelve months.
The company says demand for the new panel comes from clients of a panel it set up last year called TalkToParents.se, consisting of 4,100 mothers with children aged 0 - 3 years. The new panel will be used for omnibus and ad hoc research and will also be available on a sample-only basis.
A monthly omnibus will be launched on June the 1st this year. Sample size will be 300, half of whom will be expecting their first child. The sample will mostly cover the second half of pregnancy and findings will be merged with existing demographics in order to allow the data to be segmented. The omnibus is limited to 40 questions and remaining space is limited.
Lars Long, Product Manager of TalkToParents.se, comments: 'Gaining insight into the decision making processes of pregnant women and understanding the timing of key purchases will help our clients immensely. With the opportunity to track monthly variances, our clients will truly have their finger on the pulse of this high spending target group.'
Andreas Lee, NORM's CEO, adds: 'Never before has robust quantitative research been possible on Swedish pregnant women, so naturally we are very excited about pioneering this initiative.'
NORM is based in Stockholm and is online at www.norm.se .
