New UK Firm Partners to Sell Reporting Tool

In the UK Alki Manias, a veteran of firms including GfK Roper and YouGov, has launched a new consultancy, Alkman. The firm will partner with research software provider Gamma Associates to launch a new automated reporting tool called mTABView.

Gamma, which provides reporting and research data tools to the automotive industry, has already received strong feedback on mTABView from its client BMW, and the partners aim to introduce it to clients in other sectors over the coming months.

Manias describes himself as a 'fan' of Gamma's innovation and says the current economic climate means the time is ripe for launching a tool like mTABView. He adds: 'I believe that mTABView can bring great time and cost savings to clients in other sectors through automated tracker and large ad hoc study reporting, just as it has in the automotive industry.'

Gamma Associates General Manager Derek Watkinson has known and worked with Manias over a number of years and comments: 'Alki's enthusiasm and knowledge will be a great asset as we bring mTABView, and the potential large savings it can bring for organizations to the attention of the wider MR industry'.

Manias was appointed in November 2007 as MD of the YouGovCentaur joint venture, and in June 2009 joined panel provider e-Rewards as its London-based SVP of Sales and Business Development for Europe. He has since spent short spells at Harris Interactive and at PRS International. Earlier in his career, he spent four years at GfK Roper as Global Director in charge of sales and marketing, and three years as MD UK/European VP for Internet usage measurement firm NetValue.
