New Director for NatCen
UK not-for-profit body NatCen Social Research has appointed Nick Shanahan as Director of Finance and Business Planning, starting in July. Shanahan is currently Deputy Director of Finance and Operations at the Natural Environment Research Council.
Before joining his last employer in 2010 he worked in senior finance roles at the Ministry of Defence.
NatCen Chief Executive Penny Young comments: 'We're delighted that Nick is joining NatCen Social Research. His recent experience at a research council, together with his wide ranging business management expertise at the MOD and leadership roles will be critical to helping us deliver on our mission in a challenging external environment.'
Shanahan says his aim is to help develop the business whilst maintaining the high quality for which the Centre is 'rightly renowned.'
