Federated Sample Hires Former Greenfield MD
US-based Federated Sample has appointed former Greenfield Online MD Andy Ellis as Senior Vice President for Corporate Development.
Federated Sample was launched in August 2010 by New Orleans-based research technology start-up Jackson Square Group (JSG) and offers technology for sampling automation. Last November, the firm raised $2.8m in Series A funding, which it is using to accelerate the roll out of features in its sample management platform, Fulcrum.
Ellis joins with more than fifteen years' market research experience. Most recently, he served as Greenfield Online's MD of Europe and Asia-Pacific, where he was part of the executive team responsible for building the company and its ultimate sale to Microsoft in 2008.
Prior to this, he was VP of Sales and Technology at Quick Test, where he served on the executive committee. He began his career as a Regional Area Manager at Standard & Poors.
