Truven Emerges from Thomson Reuters Sale
Thomson Reuters has completed the $1.25 billion sale of its healthcare data, analytics and performance benchmarking arm to private equity firm Veritas Capital, which has renamed the business Truven Health Analytics.
The division offers a range of solutions - such as research database MarketScan, healthcare payer decision tool Advantage Suite, clinical reference Micromedex, reporting suite CareDiscovery, and hospital operating trends tool ActionOI - combined with expert analysis.
Under the new name, Truven Health Analytics, the firm employs approximately 2,200 people worldwide, with main offices in Ann Arbor, Chicago and Denver.
