Kenyan Base for Stratlink
Business advisory firm Stratlink Global LLC is opening an African regional office in Nairobi, Kenya, from which it plans to expand to other locations on the continent.
 The launch follows more than a year of planning and consideration of a number of possible locations. The company is based in New York, with existing offices in Budapest and Kuala Lumpur, and boasts specialist knowledge of emerging market risks and dynamics available to expanding companies and those making investment and other strategic decisions.
Founded in 2007, StratLink combines qual and quant research methodologies and prides itself on developing and leveraging local knowledge in each of the regions in which it operates - it has recruited 'heavily' in Kenya and plans to grow to more than ten staff there by 2013, as well as developing its network across Africa.
The firm's Director - Africa Konstantin Makarov says: 'We're very excited to be in Kenya, and in Nairobi in particular. In the end, we chose Nairobi because it offers us access to a readily available, world-class talent pool of local professionals, and a base located at the heart of the largest economy in East Africa.'
