CitizenHawk Debuts Social Media 'Footprint' Tool
US-based online brand protection specialist CitizenHawk has introduced a monitoring tool called HawkSocial, to enable users to measure their social media 'footprint'. Results can be split by geography or by specific networking site - Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter etc.
The new tool can be used to assess whether comments about the brand are positive, negative or neutral, while also analysing commenters' own online influence.
President and CEO David Duckwitz (pictured) says that by using specific criteria to filter searches, the solution can prevent clients from being overwhelmed by huge volumes of unstructured data.
'False rumors, negative comments and customer complaints can have a devastating impact if they are not detected and responded to quickly,' he states. 'On the other hand, if you can learn what customers and others are saying about you online, you can engage them, address their legitimate concerns and strengthen crucial relationships.'
