Ipsos Hires Yahoo! AdLabs Leader for Digital Ad Division
In the US, Ipsos has appointed former Yahoo! AdLabs head Ken Mallon as Global President of Ipsos ASI|digital, a practice focused on advertising research in digital and social media spaces.
Mallon (pictured) began his career as a health and biotech scientist, before first joining Yahoo! in 2000 to help establish the firm's data mining group, and develop targeting and measurement systems, including the Y! Consumer Direct system through a partnership with Nielsen.
In 2004, Mallon joined the executive management team at Dynamic Logic, and, following the firm's acquisition by Millward Brown, he led digital solutions and consulting for clients of both companies. After six years, he returned to Yahoo! to start Yahoo! AdLabs, a global ad product innovation and ad testing group.
In his new role at Ipsos, Mallon is responsible for the global digital business strategy and plan, the digital philosophy, and the team. He is also responsible for developing and identifying emerging client needs with respect to digital. He will work primarily from the group's San Francisco office.
Alex Gronberger, Global CEO for Ipsos ASI, comments: 'With Ken Mallon's extensive and cutting edge experience at Yahoo!, he has proven himself as an innovator and a leader in the digital world. He will no doubt use that knowledge to help us build a digital research practice that helps our clients uncover greater insights that drive better results.'
